We've all struggled with weight at some point in our lives. For some of us it's a life long battle. Whether it's 60 pounds or the last 10, we've all struggled with the frustration at some point. We also know it's quite a simple formula: Burn more calories than you eat, eat healthy and exercise. However you put it, it's a statement we know and have heard, however struggle with making it happen.
Now you're thinking "Oh yeah? If it's so simple why can't I lose this muffin top?"
Well, the real struggle is in our mind. We have to push our mind to make our body take the actions we want it to take such as go run on the treadmill for 40 minutes. We have to tell our brain "no I don't need that chocolate cake, I'm happy with a salad today." Again, it all comes down to PSYCHOLOGY. Many of us go to sleep thinking "tomorrow I'm going to stick to my diet. I WILL go to the gym." Tomorrow comes and goes, and we made some excuse not to go to the gym or tell ourselves it's ok it was just a small bite of ice cream.
